GUIDED TOUR: Spring in the Cemeteries, Laeken cemetery

Printemps des cimetières

In our minds, we tend to associate visits to cemeteries with the colours of autumn and Halloween. However, their unique heritage can be explored all year round. This weekend, the first edition of the Spring in the Cemeteries festival reveals the hidden treasures of Laeken Cemetery's funerary heritage and offers artistic walks, guided tours and classical concerts. These discoveries are free of charge but booking is required.

FESTIVAL: Belgian Pride

Belgian Pride

In May, Brussels is decked out in rainbow colours for the most vibrant festival of the year. In addition to its emblematic parade and Rainbow Village, Belgian Pride is back with an explosive programme: a crazy evening with the Sassy Cabaret, an unmissable concert at Ancienne Belgique with a stellar line-up of LGBTQIA+ singers and musicians and a host of other events celebrating tolerance, open-mindedness and fun. The icing on the cake? Buy a pack of coloured chalk and decorate the city's pavements with the colours of Pride.

If after all that you still have some energy left, come, and join us on 22 May for a solidarity walk followed by a tribute concert to Annie Cordy in Elisabeth Park. In the company of fine artists such as Salvatore Adamo, Marka, Dave and Gilbert Montagné, enjoy a deliciously vintage line-up that pays tribute to the late "Tata Yoyo".
