Description

To celebrate the first anniversary of the book Stop Motion, un autre cinéma d'animation, CINEMATEK, in collaboration with Anima, is organizing a new retrospective of stop motion films that have marked generations.

With no less than 16 screenings to offer an overview of the many facets of the genre, from hand-crafted to studio films, and taking in some great classics like My Life as a Zucchini and The Nightmare Before Christmas, this rich and varied programme has been created by Anima’s founder Philippe Moins.

Philippe Moins and Xavier Kawa-Topor are set to present their book, Stop Motion, un autre cinéma d'animation “frame by frame”, at a meeting on Tuesday, 28 September, moderated by Dick Tomasovic, cultural columnist and professor in the Theories and Practices of Cinema and the Audiovisual and Performing Arts at Liège University.
